Water Well Fluid Recycling Explained

Water Well Fluid Recycling Explained - Water Well Drilling Company With Fluid Recycler

Water Well Fluid Recycling Explained

When researching and speaking to water well drilling companies you may hear the term ‘Fluid Recycling’ and the specific process to manage this. Each company has its own equipment which is unique to them. And each recycler is different. A fluid recycler mechanically sorts cuttings and cleans our driller’s mud continuously. In other words, it is like vacuuming with a filter.

A traditional well driller that uses a mud pan is like vacuuming with no filter, the big stuff leaves, but the fine stuff keeps going around and around. Without a filter, you end up moving debris from one place and deposit it in another. In an aquifer, sands and silts can migrate from one spot and plug another. This is not an ideal outcome for a reliable producing water well.

Here at Wolverine Drilling Inc. we have gone to great lengths to source and invest in top-quality equipment and developed a process designed specifically for the aquifers in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Our expert driller has his own unique style to drilling and carefully monitors the equipment for sounds, vibrations, sample cuttings, cutting size distribution, mud viscosity, scans from tooling like elogs ( to highlight a few steps in our process). This only comes with experience and more experience.

The fluid recycler that we use at Wolverine Drilling Inc. is highly effective, custom and superior to many other fluid recyclers on the market… and it is exclusive to us alone. Our fluid recycler is unlike any other as it circulates up to 500 gallons per minute and it is designed specifically for what we do …. and does incredibly well at what it does. We use our fluid recycler during the drilling process, as well as, well production. Our modern drilling methods, combined with the use of our fluid recycler, is more effective and efficient when compared to traditional drilling.

Drilling water wells can be a messy process, but our custom fluid recycler allows for better overall mud management. We are able to leave a pile of separated cuttings on every site that can be leveled, hauled or disposed of.

We are aware that many companies do attempt to copy this process, but it is highly unlikely they are able to when comparing the process from start to finish. To do so would require the same drilling rig along with the additional equipment like an elog that scans each inch and the same fluid recycling system as ours.

What does this mean to you - the customer - the future owner of a water well?
