A very similar concept to a water well, except with the use of more screens with the intend of over pumping a well to deplete an aquifer to remove the hydraulic pressure. This water is pumped to a holding area, lagoon, ditc, etc. The deciding factor for this decision is how much water and for how long.
It is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure water pumped from the well has an adequate overflow area that does not cause damage or loss of property to others.
